Throughout most of my blogs you will probably notice various themes. Themes of change, focusing on the positives, self-care, replacing and challenging the negative, etc…
One of the reasons involves the influence of Bill O’Hanlon. He is a therapist and one of the creators of a therapy called Solution Focused Therapy. I often use many of the strategies and ideas in my work with others as well as my personal life. This therapy approach focuses on the positives, strengths and looks for ways people can change (solutions) versus explain why they are stuck.
